What the Process Looks Like
Replacement starts with sizing. We ask how many people live in the home, how many bathrooms run at once, and what fuel is available, then recommend a correctly sized tank or tankless unit rather than defaulting to whatever is on the truck.
- On installation day we drain and disconnect the old unit, haul it away, and set the new one with everything current California code requires: seismic strapping, a properly rated temperature and pressure relief valve with discharge pipe, a drain pan where required, dielectric unions, and an expansion tank when the system calls for one.
- Gas units get their venting and gas connections verified and leak-tested; tankless conversions include upsizing gas lines and venting as needed. We fill, purge, fire, and test the system, set the temperature, and walk you through operation and maintenance.
